H.R. Daniel is the artist of the month for September. Be sure to come by and see his western themed paintings. He does acrylic and watercolor and ink wash.

Classes for the program meet every Wednesday at 10:00am. Instructors will help you learn to read, improve you reading skills, improve your English skills or help you read to your children. Classes are held every Wednesday from 10:00am-11:30am Call 235-4978 for more information.
The second Friday of every month from Sept.-May is
Home School
Story Hour from 1:30pm-2:30pm. The parents of the home schoolers get a
chance to visit while the children participate in reading
activities.

Let's Talk Books is for anyone who likes to read. It is a fun and informal time for avid book readers to get together for lively discussion. The group meets the first Tuesday of each month in the meeting room. Sack lunches with a drink will be provided for a donation of $4.00 for the first 12, or you can bring your own lunch. The money collected will be donated to the library. Listed below are book selection and dates for monthly meetings.
The Friends of the Library are selling book bags for a fundraiser. There are 2 sizes: Large Blue for $10 and Smaller Red for $7. Come by the library to get a book bag!

The library has a free service to help you write resumes and prepare for
interviews. It is an online program and does require you to have an email address.
You will need to set up an account with your email and password.
You can see sample resumes, write and save your resume, tip for job interviews, and job search tools. We hope this free service will be a help in your job search!
A comprehensive career resource with information on thousands of companies. Glassdoor includes salary and bonuses and details for specific jobs at specific companies, as well as actual interview questions and hiring process details. Click on the link below.
The above link is a website that was designed to help patrons with job searching, resume writing, basic computer skills and much more. We are part of the Big Country Library System. BCLS, along with five other regional library systems have developed this project which is free to all patrons. We hope this will be a valuable tool for those needing help with job searching, computers skills etc.
Brainfuse is paid through JobNow! for patrons and provides live interview coaching, resume lab career resources and academic skill via live tutoring, writing assistance, a test center and a 24/7 question center. This service is available 7 days a week from 2pm-11pm. First time users should click on the Sign up button to create their own unique username and password. This service will be only be available until August 2010.
The Talking Book Program provides free library services for blind and physically disabled Texans of all ages who are unable to read standard print material due to visual, physical or reading disabilities. Books and magazines are available on cassette, braille, large print and soon digital. The program offers more than 80,000 titles in fiction and nonfiction, plus 80 magazines all for adults and children. There is an application form that is available in English and Spanish.
